Papiss Cisse could miss Newcastle's match with Swansea

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew says
Papiss Cisse may miss Saturday's
game with Swansea because of a row
with Senegal.
The striker was scheduled to meet up
with his country ahead of Wednesday's
friendly in Niger but withdrew because
of a back problem.
Senegal are now understood to be
threatening to invoke Fifa's five-day rule
after claiming they were not sent details
of Cisse's medical condition.
"We have a bit of an issue going on with
the federation," said Pardew.
Cisse, 27, has scored three times this
season for Newcastle, who have won
just once in six attempts in the league.
His absence against Swansea, who sit
one place and one point below the
Magpies in the table, would be a
setback for Newcastle.
Pardew insists the club informed
Senegal of Cisse's back problem,
sustained in last Sunday's 1-0 defeat by
West Ham, and sent off details of the
player's medical condition, but have
since been told they were not received.
"We feel we have covered all the bases
to give them the information," he
added.
"But they seem not to have received it,
so we are in discussions with Senegal
and the FA about his availability for
Saturday."
