FC Nordsjaelland 0-4 Chelsea

Chelsea recorded their first win in the
Champions League this season but
were made to work hard for a 4-0
victory by FC Nordsjaelland.
Juan Mata had given the Blues a first-
half lead but they had to survive long
periods of pressure from the Danes
before three goals in the final 11
minutes killed off the tie.
The Londoners settled quicker as Oscar
flashed a shot narrowly wide, Victor
Moses headed onto the upright on
Frank Lampard's dipping shot narrowly
cleared the bar.
Nordsjaelland started to find their
rhythm but were restricted to long
range efforts and Fernando Torres
should have broken the deadlock on
22 but hit his shot straight at Jesper
Hansen's feet.
The Spaniard made amends 11
minutes later when he dispossessed
Enoch Adu and fed Lampard who in
turn squared for Mata to slot home,
although Torres wasted another gilt-
edged chance just before the break.
The hosts had the better of the early
exchanges after the restart as Joshua
John fired narrowly wide the saw a
superb curling effort tipped onto the
post by Cech, who also parried a
swerving effort from Nicolai Stokholm.
Oscar had the ball in the on 77 net
with a rifled shot off the underside of
the bar but the referee had already
blow for a foul on Ramires.
But two minutes later David Luiz curled
in a free-kick off the upright and as the
Danes collapsed, Mata (82) surged into
the area and slotted in his second and
Torres and Oscar combined to give
Ramires (89) a simple tap-in.
