West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal came from a goal down to
beat West Ham 3-1 in a frantic London
derby at Upton Park.
Mohamed Diame had put the
Hammers in the lead on 21 but Olivier
Giroud - with his first Premier League
goal - levelled on 41 and Theo Walcott
(77) and Santi Cazorla struck to earn
the Gunners the points.
The Hammers took the lead against the
run of play and it was a beauty - Diame
cut inside Carl Jenkinson before curling
brilliantly past Vito Mannone.
He was booked for his celebrations
and he was lucky to stay on the pitch
when he clattered Mikel Arteta shortly
after, the ref keeping the second yellow
in his pocket.
Then came the moment Gunners fans
had waited five hours and five minutes
for - a Giroud goal in the Premier
League.
Lukas Podolski swung over a superb
cross to the near post where Giroud
stretched out a boot to divert it home.
Just before half-time Kevin Nolan blew
a fine change to re-take the lead,
latching on to Carroll's knock-down but
steering just wide.
The second-half was fast and furious
and there was a blow for the hosts
who lost Ricardo Vaz Te with a
suspected dislocated shoulder after a
collision with Mannone.
Then Walcott made his mark, sprinting
on to Giroud's through ball and
slotting coolly past Jussi Jaaskelainen.
Nolan had a great chance to equalise
but blazed over from 12 yards with just
Mannone to beat and Cazorla sealed it
with a swerving long-range beauty on
83.
